Report predicts Lib Dem win in South West London Assembly race

Liberal Democrat Stephen Knight is set to win the South West London Assembly constituency on 1st May, according to an influential study published this week. The seat, covering Hounslow, Richmond and Kingston boroughs has been held by the Conservatives for the past eight years.

Cameron must come clean on Heathrow expansion

As David Cameron visits Richmond today in an attempt head off a strong Liberal Democrat challenge to his local London Assembly Member, his party is still trying to have it both ways on Heathrow expansion. Local Tories claim they are opposed to expansion whilst he and his transport team are busy telling the City that they are ready to give expansion the go-ahead.

Lib Dem Council goes solar powered

Forty two solar panels have been installed at Richmond Council's Civic Centre this week, aiming to save up to three tonnes of carbon dioxide every year.

Tory Council's support for third runway is betrayal

Thursday's decision by Conservative controlled Spelthorne Council to withdraw from the 2M alliance against Heathrow expansion and instead back the Government's plans for a third runway is a betrayal of local residents says Liberal Democrat London Assembly candidate for South West London Stephen Knight.
